World Vision (Germany) enjoy the unique people and places of Tanzania!

We are proud to work with the World Vision Organisation, whose  sponsors regularly travel to Tanzania to meet the children and communities they actively support. They have chosen Kiroyera Tours to take groups from as far north and west of the country as Bukoba and Karagwe, and across east and southern Tanzania including Handeni and Kilosa.

In July/August 2017 we organised a tour for 14 sponsors from Germany who were visiting World Vision projects in Handeni Mswaki, Korogwe Bwembwera and Kilosa Ulaya. To give this group a personal insight into our country, we also introduced them to unique places and experiences ensuring this once in a lifetime trip would be etched in their memory forever.

Pangani, which lies on the Indian Ocean in north eastern Tanzania, gave our clients the opportunity to experience the beautiful beaches and coastline of Tanzania. Based at the Emayani Beach Hotel we took the group on a variety of exciting excursions, from a three hour cruise on the Pangani River (which rises in the foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro), to traditional family homes where they tasted authentic Swahili cuisine!

To view our world renowned nature and wildlife parks we arranged visits to Saadani National Park and Mikumi National Park.

Saadani is famous for being the only reserve in east Africa which offers a ‘beach and bush’ experience. It lies opposite the exotic island of Zanzibar and is an ecologically important conservation area, very low key and thus off the traditional safari circuit. Mikumi is home to the ‘Big Five’ (cheetah, lion, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), and is the 4th largest park in Tanzania, located between the Uluguru Mountains and the Lumango range.  Whilst staying at the upmarket Vuma Hills Tented Camp our clients enjoyed a true African bush experience, and particularly loved watching the prides of lions in their natural habitat!

This was a personal tour arranged around the specific needs and interests of a special group of clients. We would like to thank WVO  for giving us the opportunity to show them the wonderful sites and sounds of our country, and also for sharing their thoughts with us about their trip:

I enjoyed every moment!

I enjoyed most the meeting with my sponsored child; the various regions were very interesting; our driver Mafedha was very good, he knows much of plants and animals and economics of Tanzania. Mary was always helpful.

Tanzania is a very interesting country. I would like to come here once more to an individual trip.

I enjoyed the tour. Sometimes it was too much!

I enjoyed visiting my sponsored child and some of the World Vision projects. I also enjoyed visiting water turtles, a resting day on the Indian Ocean beach, Emayani beach lodge and Vuma hills camp in Mikumi.

I enjoyed the accommodation in Pangani – Emayani Beach lodge. Kiroyera tour guides were kind and openhearted.
